Caprice Motors #2 and #3

Block: Chevrolet 350cid block (bored 0.030 over), 4-bolt mains (Block Casted: Nov 14th, 1977, Afternoon shift, at approx 5:00pm by caster #2) Blue printed (all flashing removed), de-burred, rod reliefs machined in block, decked .020" for 0" deck height, machined oil pump reliefs in main oil gallery, in pump main cap, and crank oiling holes. Oil drain block offs and return screens were installed for oil and debris control.

Crank: Scat Stroker 383 (full assembly balanced) 3.750" stroke. Micro-polished, oiling holes opened up, all counter weights sanded, all rotating parts balanced as an assembly (crank, balancer, flex plate, rods w/ bearings, pistons and rings).

Rods: Chevy High Performance, baked, resized, and balanced, with ARP 190,000 PSI wave-lock bolts

Pistons: Keith Black .030 hypereutectic w/ 1/16" ring lands, flat top heads (w/ valve reliefs)

Rings: Speed Pro by Sealed Power O" gap rings, filed to fit 1st .018", 2nd .020"

Heads: Vortec (p/n 12558060) 1.94"/1.50", ported, polished, cc to 65cc (original 64cc), Swirl cut on valves, 5 angle valve job, screw-in studs. Intake runners - 177cc, exhaust - 66cc. Milodon .062" copper head gaskets, yielding 10.17:1 compression.

Lifters: retro-fit Comp Cams roller lifters

Cam: Crane Cam #119821 (comparable to GMPP '845' cam) Hydraulic Roller, Dur 276/284, Valve Lift .488"/.509", Lobe C/L - 112 degrees

Rockers: Comp Cams Pro Magnum 1.6 full roller rockers.

Bearings: Rod and Mains - Clevite 77 (H series), Cam - Sealed Power, Crank - Clevite 77

Timing Chain: Summit Double True Roller w/ needle bearing wear plate, grade 8 bolts w/ lock plate and roller bearings, roller cam button (with .030 oil hole to supply oil to wear bearings)

Intake: Edelbrock #3505 EFI system for Vortec heads (rough casting removed, insides sanded smooth. Intake port widened to accomodate 2.0" bore TB). 29lb injectors, Holley 2.0" Throttle Body (machined to remove any airflow restrictions) w/ 1" spacer, K&N Filter, 2-snorkel air cleaner w/ cold air ducts.

Ignition: Hypertech HEI Cap/Coil, MSD High Energy Module, Accel 8.8mm 300+ Wires, home-made splitfire plugs.

Exhaust: Hedman #68291 1 5/8" headers (3" collectors), inside of primaries smoothed, Jet-Hot coated. Dynomax exhaust system for Impala SS (2.5" mandrel-bent w/ Ultra Flo mufflers), 2.0" H-pipe.

Other: Underdrive pulley with proper-charging alternator pulley, Flex-a-lite 210 electric fans, all ports gasket-matched.
